Kathleen Cagle

June 10, 1924 — December 20, 2009

Tillie Kathleen Cagle, 85, of Newport, was ushered into Heaven on December 20, 2009. She was welcomed into glory by her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Among those in the welcoming committee were her husband Howard Craven Cagle, her son Richard Allen Doiel, and her daughter Paula Sherleen Cagle Shackleford.
Not wishing to disturb anyone she quietly slipped away early in the morning hours.
She was a native of Lumberton, NC, but made her home in Newport, NC with her daughter Denise Cagle Meyers and her son-in-law Sammy. She attended the Newport Church of God until her health would no longer permit her to attend.
She was a loving wife,mother, grandmother.
"Mother" as she was so lovingly called by many left behind, in addition to her daughter and son-in-law, granddaughter Faith Michelle Doiel, of Chocowinity, Frances Powers Edmondson and husband Steve, of Wilson, Christi Shackleford Dulaney and husband James, of Maryland, Melissa Shackleford Scott of Greenville, grandson, Michael Doiel and wife Michele, of Chocowinity, greatgrandchildren, Phillip Richard Alligood, Steven Howard Edmondson, Hannah Elizabeth Dulaney, Israel Noah Edmondson, Cameron Michael Doiel, Colby Derek Scott, a sister, Winnie Mae Pittman of Lumberton, and a brother Paul Price of Evergreen.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Edmondson and Rev. John Shackleford officiating. Interment be held at 2:00 pm at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
