Karen Leah Campbell

Karen Leah Campbell, 68, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Karen will be laid to rest privately at Colonial Grove Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Karen was born on December 11, 1954, in Miami Beach, Florida, to the late Bobby Ray Campbell and LaRue Lockhart Campbell. Working at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Karen's career as a registered nurse displayed her dedication, compassion, and a strong commitment to helping others.

Karen had a diverse range of hobbies and interests. Cooking and experimenting with different flavors and techniques, she proved to be an excellent cook. She kept her hands busy with cross-stitching, creating beautiful designs. Music was a great source of relaxation and inspiration for Karen who enjoyed listening to her favorite tunes. Karen kept her mind active with puzzles and word games, always ready for a good challenge and a great feeling of accomplishment upon completion.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her cousins, Lorita Piner Guthrie (Eugene) of Morehead City and Danny Piner (Nancy) of Morehead City; great niece, Michaela Piner Martin (Dustin) of Havelock; and best friends, Gail Winslow and Kathy Winslow Morris, both of Moyock, NC.
