Karel Wade Hall

Karel Wade Hall, 62, of Newport, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Morehead City with Rev. Nate Leonard officiating. Inurnment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Karel was born in Morehead City on June 23, 1953 to Thomas A. Wade, Sr. and Patricia Ballou Wade. The middle child and only daughter, she was the apple of her father’s eye. Karel loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a lifelong passion for caring for children. She enjoyed working as a teaching assistant in the Carteret County Public School System as well as volunteering in the nursery and teaching Sunday school at First Baptist Church, but what she treasured most was being the loving mother of Doug, Melodie and Matt.
She is survived by her son, Doug Hall of Houston, TX; her daughter, Melodie Daniels and husband Wesley of Newport; and her son, Matthew Hall and wife Janie of Beaufort; five beautiful grandchildren, Madison and MaKenna Hall, Clayton and Ella Daniels, and Catherine Hall; her brother, Thomas A. Wade Jr. of Greenville; and her nephews, Paul and Mark Wade and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Patsy Wade; one brother, Billy Wade.
Her family would like to thank all the friends and family who offered their support, prayers and words of kindness and encouragement over these past few weeks. We give special thanks to the staff of Vidant Medical Center who worked so tirelessly to heal our mom and who made sure that her final days were both comfortable and dignified.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home
