Kara Brianne Mills

Kara Brianne Mills, 10, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, July 31­, 2018, at Duke Children’s Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 4p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Broad Creek Community Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Robbie Strickland.

She is survived by her parents Michael Mills and Carina Lewis of Newport; sister, Nikole Mills of the home; maternal grandparents, Ricky and Sylvia Lewis of Newport; paternal grandmother, Peggy Mills of Newport; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Lewis; uncle and aunt, Justin and Nicole Lewis; and cousins, Logan and Carly Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Walter Mills.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Kara Brianne Mills.
