Kaitlyn K. L. Curry, 35, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024.
She was born February 25, 1989, in South Bend, Indiana.
Kaitlyn graduated from La Porte High School in 2007, then went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN. Kaitlyn had a zest for life and was always first in line for a new adventure. Kaitlyn embraced color guard with her sister and cousins growing up and built many lasting friendships. She loved the political arena at an early age and interned at Capitol Hill in Washington DC during her Saint Mary years. She had a love for Notre Dame football and the Chicago Cubs. Kaitlyn loved to be at the beach and spending time near water. Kaitlyn loved to cook and owned every cooking utensil imaginable. Kaitlyn was a loving mother, wife, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter, and friend. By far, Kaitlyn was most proud of being a Mommy to Vivien, George, and William. Kaitlyn would go on to accomplish many great things and created an everlasting impact with every person she met.
Kaitlyn is survived by her daughter, Vivien Kay Kendall; two sons, George L. Curry and William B. Curry; her husband, Bradford G. Curry; her sister, Emily E. L. Hickman of Indianapolis, IN; her brother, Lorin J.L. (Suelen) Hickman of Poplar Grove, IL; grandmother, Kay Lashua of Kingsford Heights, IN, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her mother, Marcia Kay Lashua Bisconti, brother Derrick J. Lashua, and grandfather, Richard Lashua.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. (Central time) Smith Hall at Red Mill Pond, 0185 S. Holmesville Rd., La Porte, IN 46350.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kaitlyn's name at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern North Carolina.
