Junius Haskett, 91, of Newport, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2014, at the Crysta Coast Hospice House.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1st at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 2nd at Munden Funeral Home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Lillie Mae Haskett; daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia and Larry Harrelson; son, Dente Haskett; "adopted daughter", Wendy Troup; two grandsons, Brent Haskett and wife, Carrie, and Paul Erexson; one granddaughter, Jenny, and husband Danny Howard; and three great-grandchildren, Emory, Elyn and Leo. He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Haskett Rouse and Faye Haskett Greene as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivah and Ruth Haskett, and four sinblings, Oleta Williams Garner, Ivey Vaughno Haskett, Quinton Theodore Haskett and Jesse Eugene Haskett.
