Julius Nicholson "Nickie" Jones, Jr., 64, of Newport, died Saturday, November 10, 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel.
He loved playing the guitar and fishing and worked as a building contractor for 34 years in Carteret County.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Fulcher Jones of the home; daughter, Shelly Nolin and husband Michael of Clayton, NC; son, Julius Nicholson "Nick" Jones, III of Everett, WA; mother, Betty Jones of Cape Carteret, NC; siblings, Albert Jones and wife Sherry of Morehead City, Susan Guthrie and husband Tommy of Newport, Jerry Jones and wife Terry of Morehead City and Julie Moore and husband John of Cape Carteret; sister-in-law, Linda Kinch of Alexandria, IN and Mary Ellen O'Neal and husband Gary of Greenville; brother-in-law, Julian Howard Fulcher of Beaufort; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Nicholson Jones, Sr.
The family will receive friends following the service.
