Julia Fay (Lawton) Turan

Julie Fay Turan, 83, of Morehead City, passed away on Thursday.
Julie is survived by daughters, Linda Walsh and husband Bill, Laura Henderson and husband Darwin, and Leslie Cory; her sons, George Crossley and wife Leisa, Gary Crossley, Norman Cory and wife Kim, and Kurt Cory, along with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julie’s name to Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD; Levine Cancer Center, Charlotte, NC; and Carteret General Hospital, Morehead City, NC.
We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and assistants on the 3rd floor at Carteret General Hospital for the care and attention they gave Julie in her final days.
