Julia E. Toombs

Julia E. Toombs, 81, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her home.

Julia was born on May 9, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Kenneth and Mary Kaiser. She spent her early years in the Albany, New York area where she was awarded the 1960 Miss Tulip Queen. Her grace and beauty were evident to all but what some might not have known was her adventurous side which included competitive skeet shooting and the enjoyment and thrill of motorcycle riding on the open road.

After the passing of her beloved husband, Robert Toombs, Julia moved from Fort Meyers, Florida to Carteret County, North Carolina where she has resided for the past 3 years.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving grandchildren, Zachary Adams and wife Tiffany of Morehead City, NC and Maryia Putnam and husband Doug of Williamson, NY; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Elizabeth, Paige, and Mason; and caregiver, Kelsey Richards of Atlantic.

In addition to her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kirstin Toombs Adams.
