Ms. Gillikin was born in Otway, September 24, 1939.  Her childhood was rich with family.  She graduated from Smyrna High School in 1957.  Her two children were the joys her life.  Her working career was that of office manager and lastly as assistant manager of the Pak-a-Sak Store in downtown Morehead City.  In the Golden Years of her life were her grandchildren, who often would be found at her side as she drew pictures for them or read their favorite books, and now her grandchildren as young women brought their grandmother honor as they stood by her side.
To God be The Glory for a life well lived!
