Judith Anne Featenby, 77, of Morehead City, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father John Carlisto officiating.
Judith graduated from Limestone High School and Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in Maine, Florida, and at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT, where she was supervisor of the Emergency Room.
After spending some time in Allentown the family moved to Danville in 1979 where she was very active with her childrens schools and activities, in addition to being a volunteer at Geisinger Medical Center and a member of ECW at Christ Episcopal Church.
She moved to Morehead City in 2000, and became a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Beaufort. She was a loving wife and a great friend, and loved being at home, spending time with her husband, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Robert Featenby of the home; three daughters Susan Featenby of Macungie, PA, Jennifer Greenly of Colfax, NC, and Pamela Roberson and her husband Al of Morehead City; two brothers Roger Ward of Pawleys Island, SC, and Thomas Ward of Connecticut; and seven grandchildren Benjamin, Meghan and Rachel Greenly, Catherine Featenby, Sydney, Chase and Brooks Roberson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Phyllis Ward, and one brother Jeffery Ward.
Family will receive friends following the service with refreshments.
