Judith Mercer Carawan

Judith Mercer Carawan, 75, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, November 13­, 2018, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Carawan Hewlett and husband Timothy of Pfafftown, NC; step daughter, Teresa Reich of Raleigh; step-son, Michael Carawan of Virginia; grandchildren, Faith Hewlett, Carson Hewlett, Carolyn Mitchell, Daniel Carawan and Domenica Carrillo; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace L. Carawan.
