Juanita (Ward) Cannon

Juanita Ward Cannon, 93, of Newport, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Soundview Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Langley officiating. A private interment will follow.
Juanita was a supervisor with Morehead Garment Company for many years. Later she was owner of Juanita's House of Flowers. The Pilot Club of Carteret County knew her as a charter member and always a dedicated member of Soundview Original Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Cannon of the home; children, Roland (Buck) Farmer and wife Ann of Charlotte and Doris Jane Farmer Hollowell and husband Russell (Gene) of Atlantic Beach; grandchildren, Vicky Smith and husband Wayne of Wilmington, Franklin Roland Farmer and fiance' Julie of Durham, Vivian R. (Becky) Hollowell Byerly and husband Randy of Charleston, SC; Jeffrey Alden Hollowell and wife Patricia of Newport and Jennifer Hollowell and husband of Emerald Isle; great grandchildren, Bryan Allen Farmer, Landan Farmer, Brennan Farmer, Garrett Byerly, Caleb Byerly, Vivian Leigh Byerly, Isaac Byerly, Hailey Hollowell, Marit Barber, Nathan Barber and Jenna Barber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Lera Ward, brother, Clayton Ward, grandson, David Farmer, husband, Abraham Silverman, and Tuffy her beloved Pekingese.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
