J.T. Mott, 89, of Marshallberg, died Wednesday December 5, 2012 at Snug Harbor.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by his grandson-in-law, Rev. Clint Wyllie.
J.T. worked as a director of puchasing for Fry Roofing Co. and moved to Marshallberg after he retired in 1979. He was a member of Trinity UMC in Marshallberg where he served on the adminstrative council and in other areas of the church.
He is survived by one daughter Jolene Malone of Canton, MS, two sons Jeffery Mott and wife Alice of Overland Park, KS, and Gregory Mott and wife Tracey of Mauldin, SC, and one adopted daughter Linda Cox and husband Chuck: nine grandchildren: five great grandchildren: one great great granddaughter. Pallbearers will be two of his grandsons, Luke Malone and Phil Zsiga and members of the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Louise Davis Mott, parents George and Martha Mott, two brothers, and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity UMC Cemetery Fund 116 Marshallberg Rd. Marshallberg, NC 28553.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
