Joyce Ann Golden Perryman

Joyce Ann Golden Perryman, 68, of Broad Creek, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Broad Creek Church of God, officiated by Rev. James Chadwick. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Joyce was born on September 9, 1953, in Morehead City to Charles and Dorothy Golden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She worked as a nursing assistant at Carteret Health Care for 15 years. She was a very loving and selfless person that would give anything to those in need. She enjoyed reading Amish books, listening to gospel music, and singing. She enjoyed going to the creek and eating seafood and traveling with her sister and mother to the Goodwill store. Joyce loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charlie Howard Perryman of the home; son, Charles Roy Perryman and wife Antoina of Broad Creek; mother and stepfather, Dorothy White and David White of Newport; sister, Christeen Golden and husband Davy of Broad Creek; brother, David “Bud” Golden and wife Jean Ann of Mill Creek; and grandchildren, Charles Roy Perryman, Jr., Jason Perryman, and Garrett Perryman.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Perryman; father, Charles Lindburg; and nieces, Sunshine Golden and Jaime Huff.
