Joyce Newton, 82, of Beaufort, died Friday October 26, 2012 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Facility.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Beaufort with Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. Internment will follow at Oceanview Cemetery.
Mrs. Joyce was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband George Newton, Sr. of the home; two daughters Terry Mason of Beaufort, NC, and Brenda Lewis of Marshallberg, NC; a son George Newton Jr. of Beaufort; two sisters Helen Vanetten of Beaufort, NC, and Mildred Dunn of Beaufort, NC; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lettie Dixon and a daughter Karen Newton.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
