Joyce (Wade) Mason

Joyce Wade Mason, 85, of Atlantic, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare at Taylor Place.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Atlantic United Methodist Church with Rev. George Gouge officiating.
Joyce greatly loved the Lord, her church, her family, and friends. She was an active member of Atlantic United Methodist Church. She assured that fresh flower arrangements were on the altar for every service for more than forty years. Joyce also taught a 1st and 2nd grade children's Sunday school class. She was married to her husband Clyde Mason Jr., for 61 years.
She is survived by a daughter Susan Mason and husband Charles of Atlantic: a granddaughter Dawn Mason Thomas and husband Erik of San Diego, CA: two great grandchildren Peyton Morgan Thomas, and Hannah Carroll Thomas of San Diego, CA: and sisters Clara Fay Lewis of Marshallberg, NC and Cheryl Harris of Williston, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Mason Jr., daughter Pamela Joyce Mason, son Thomas Clyde Mason, parents Earl and Emily Wade, sisters Rosalie Willis, and Hazel Griffin, and a brother Clayton Wade.
