Joyce Yvonne Rose Johnson, 67, of Harkers Island, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel . Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Joyce is survived by four daughters Joyce "Vernie" Mendoza and husband Juan of Newport, Jessica Lynn Carter of Freeport, IL, Kelly Marie Elam of Swansboro, and Jennifer Lynn LaChapelle of Jacksonville; one grandson Johnathan Avery Salter, Jr., of Newport; two sisters Ginger Rose of Carolina Beach, NC, and Teresa Davis of Wilmington, NC; and one brother C.P. Rose of Williston.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Lena Bell Rose, and two sons James "Jimmy" Bradford Nelson, and Joseph "Joe" Carroll Nelson.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
