Joyce H. Kelly, 73, of Newport went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her residence.
Joyce was a member of the Community Baptist Church where she served as past Treasurer and was a charter member.
She was preceded in death by husband, Louis Franklin Kelly; parents, Phillip Dewey Howell and Margaret Dunn Howell.
A Graveside will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport with Reverend Billy Knox officiating.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Lisa McNamara and James Scott of Newport, NC; sons: Mike Kelly and Wendy K. of Newport, NC, Robert Kelly and Meredith of Newport, NC; brothers, Raeford Howell of Cove City, NC, R.E. Howell of Brookneal, Va.; sister, Carthene Bell of Newport, NC; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Baptist Church, 7648 US 70, Newport, NC 28570.
