Joyce D. Alford, 70, of New Bern, passed away Friday, June 1­, 2018 at Riverstone Assisted Living.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Best of Newport; son, Christopher Alford, Sr. of Jacksonville; sister, Vicki Alford of West Monroe, LA; brother, Jeff Alford of Kingsland, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Alford, Jr., Tyler Alford, Victoria Alford, Kolton Alford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Alford and Vera Baker; sister, Jerry Alford; and brothers, Douglas Alford, Sr., Ricky Alford, and Dennis Alford.
