Joseph "Kike" Clark Willis, Sr.

Joseph Clark Willis, Sr., “Kike”, of Harkers Island, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Pruitt Healthcare in Sea Level surrounded by his family.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness church with Reverend Paul Loftin and Reverend Jack Mumford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Vergie Mae cemetery.
Kike was born on January 9, 1940, on Harkers Island to Joseph Kilby Willis and Sadie Davis Willis. He was always the kind to “pick” and carry on with people, and he loved to create songs about people and the Outer Banks. Kike will always be remembered by his craftsmanship with boat building and spent a big part of his life doing so. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Sandra Kaye Willis; son, Joseph C. Willis, Jr., “Kike Joe”; brother, Bobby Willis; sister, Mary E. Gillikin; grandchildren, Davin Clark Willis and Kayla Nicole Taylor Willis; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Kilby Willis and Sadie Davis Willis; Pappy, Walter Willis; brother, Jackie H. Willis, Sr.; and sister, Maxine Lawrence.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
