Josephine Augustine Curtis VonVille

Josephine Augustine Curtis VonVille, 77, of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Croatan Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Josephine was born in Findlay, Ohio, on October 13, 1944, to the late Clayton and Marion Curtis. Following high school, she attended Ohio State University and went on to have a career as a computer analyst in the marketing field. Playing basketball and going bowling were among her favorite pastimes. Josephine had a true compassion for others, her selfless ways meant she always put others above herself. Her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet VonVille; son, Stephen VonVille II; brother, Jack and Karolyn Curtis; and grandchildren, Shakei, Jeremy, and Eli.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Curtis.
