Joseph "Bill" William Swader

MGySgt (RET) Joseph "Bill" W. Swader, 70, of Cape Carteret, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his home with family.

A funeral will be held 12:00 Saturday May 4, 2013 at Freedom Way Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rudolph Outlaw officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Bill retired from the USMC after 30 years of service, which included two tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Becky Sanders Swader of the home: a son Todd Riggs and wife Kelly Lynch of Tampa, FL: a brother Fred Swader of Louisburg, PA : two sisters Dawn Martz of Tallahasee, FL, and Jean Magaes of Ithaca, NY: and a very special friend Victor Reynolds.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
