Joseph Clemon Sharpe II

January 14, 1958 — November 5, 2011

Joseph Clemon Sharpe II, 53, of Morehead City died Saturday November 5, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday November 9, 2011 at Parkview Baptist Church. Rev. David Mills officiating. Internment to follow at Gethsemane Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Sharpe was a member of The Parkview Baptist Church, Retired from The US Navy, where he served as cook for President Reagan and President Bush. After retiring from the Military he served as Director of Food Service at Liberty Baptist Church, Hampton Va. He was the former owner of AJ’S Seafood Restaurant in Morehead City and recently served as Dietary Manager at Harborview in Morehead City.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Coombs Sharpe of the home, daughters Candace Sharpe of Ashville NC, and Chelsea Sharpe of Newport NC , a son Chandler Sharpe and wife Jamie of Lynchburg Va, mother Brunette Sharpe of Morehead City, sisters Ruth Simpson and husband Butch of Asheboro NC, Leisha Mace and husband Kenny of Chocowinity NC, brother John Sharpe and wife BJ of San Antonio Texas, Grandchildren Abram Sharpe-Newby, Ainslee Sharpe, Sebastian MaCloud and Sedona MaCloud with one additional grandchild on the way. In laws, David and wife Harriett Coombs of Hampton Va, brother in law Chad Coombs and wife Tabby Brentwood Tn.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Clemon Sharpe.

The family will receive friends Noon to 1:30 PM prior to the Funeral Service
