Joseph Mallison, Jr.

Joseph White Mallison, Jr., 76, of Havelock, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Rev. Manley Rose officiating.
Mr. Mallison was a veteran and served in the US Army from June 1953 until May 1955 as a CPL. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He retired from NADEP at Cherry Point in 1998.
He is survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Alta Walters of Morehead City and three step-grandchildren, Kimberly Walters Guerry and husband John of Newport and Renee Walters McKeel of Morehead City and Stephen Todd Walters and wife Crystal, of Newport and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroleen Walters Mallison, his step-son, Gary Stephen Walters and his step-grandson, Gary Stephen Waltlers, Jr.
