Joseph Fewell Henson

Joseph “Joe” Fewell Henson, 81, of Newport, NC passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at home with family by his side.
There will be no services.
Joe was a US Navy Chief Petty Officer, retiree and served in the Vietnam War. He was an avid wood carver of primarily water fowl.
He was survived by beloved companion of ten years, Lin Maynard; two daughters, Mary Pelham and husband Bill of Maysville, NC and Teresa West of Newport, NC; three sons, Chris Henson of Marathon, FL, Mark Henson and wife Vy of New Bern, NC and Sam Henson of Kanagawa, Japan; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two pets Hebe and Peeps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Henson and Mary Money.
