Joseph Vincent "Joe" Giaimo
August 12, 1936 — February 13, 2011
Joseph Vincent "Joe" Giaimo, 74, of Atlantic Beach, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital. He is now resting in our Heavenly Father's arms.
Mr. Giaimo served in the U.S. Marine Corps, retired from Civil Service at Cherry Point. He also worked in real estate and law enforcement.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at St. Egberts Catholic Church with Father Doug Smiley presiding. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn O. Giaimo of the home; two daughters, Maria Taylor of Atlantic Beach and Connie Shelton of Pine Knoll Shores; and two grandchildren, Sophia Shelton and William "Bill" Shelton, III.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
