John "Phil" Phillip Munden Sr.

John Phillip (Phil) Munden "Pa Phil", 68, of Wildwood, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at home.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Tim Mariner officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Phil was known by all for his love of nature, his family, and all those he met. Phil served in the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam, he was co owner of Munden Funeral Home and Crematory, he was a member of Glad Tidings Church, past president of the Morehead City Jaycees, and a past member of the Morehead City Noon Rotary.
He is survived by his wife Anne Townes Munden: son Phillip Munden Jr.,: two grandchildren Mallory Munden and Braden Munden: Phillip's fiance Lisa Johnson Garner and her two children Lexie Garner, and Maggie Garner: two brothers Bill Munden and wife Nancy, and Dennis Munden and wife Alexis: four nephews Dave Munden, Schuyler Munden, Chris Munden, and Taylor Munden: and niece Jennifer Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents William D. and Mildred Seawell Munden.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at Glad Tidings Church.
