Johnny Alton Styron, 66, of Cedar Island, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 21, 2020, at the Goodwin Family Cemetery on Cedar Island, officiated by Pastor Koonce. Friends are welcome to attend the service, those that attend will be asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The service will be broadcasted through a sound system. For those unable to attend, the family invites you to view the webcasting of the service through Johnny ’s obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. Johnny worked at FRC East at Cherry Point as a Production Machinery Mechanic and was a lifelong commercial fisherman. He was a devoted family man and great mentor.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Styron of the home; sons, Robbie Dudley and wife Jessy of East Palatka, FL and Jarett Styron and wife Lena of Youngsville; sisters, Bonnie Horna of Pennsylvania and Susie Styron of Morehead City; brother, Aron Styron, Jr. and wife Cathie of Cedar Island; grandchildren, Quinn Styron, Caitlyn Dudley, and Ara Bella Dudley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aron and Grace Styron, and grandson, Bobby Lee Dudley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sea Level Fire & Rescue Department, PO Box 69, Sea Level, NC 28577.
