Johnnie Pittman, Jr.

Johnnie Pittman, Jr., 79, of Newport, died Monday, January 18, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Pittman was married to his wife of 60 years, Fannie Pittman, on June 20, 1949.
He attended Wildwood Baptist Church. He was a retired commercial fisherman who
loved working on the water. His love for his family was his first priority. He was a
wonderful husband and father to his children. He enjoyed life to its fullest.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with
Rev. William Stroud officiating.

In addition to his wife, Fannie Pittman, he is survived by his children, Johnnie Pittman
and wife Sherry of Newport, Judy P. Pittman and husband Dale of South River, Larry
Pittman and wife Malinda, Kevin Pittman and wife Tammy and Dennis Pittman and wife
Gladys, all of Newport; grandchildren, Roger Pittman and wife Amanda of Beaufort, and
Larry Pittman, Jr. and wife Brandy, Amy Pittman, Dennis Pittman and Adam Pittman, all
of Newport and great grandchildren, Gracyn Pittman, Hailey Pittman, Marley Pittman,
Chase Pittman, Jordan Quillen and Noah Moore; sister, Lydia DeLorme and brother,
William Earl Pittman.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
