Johnnie "Miss Ruth" Huffman

Johnnie “Miss Ruth” Huffman, 87, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Crystal Coast Hospice House, in Newport.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnnie “Miss Ruth” Huffman worked at Capt. Bill’s many years. She volunteered at the Carteret County Museum in Morehead City from 2002 to 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Wichtl and husband Victor of Newport and Joanie Sabo and husband Don of Pittsburgh, PA; and a son, Alvin Huffman and wife Brenda of Doylestown, PA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Faywin D. Huffman.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made in Mrs. Johnnie “Miss Ruth” Huffman name to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, PO Box 640, Newport, NC 28570.
