John Weeks, 98, of Cedar Point, died Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Harborview Health Care Center.
Mr. Weeks had owned and operated Weeks Grocery Store in Cedar Point for 50 years.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 am Saturday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Danny Roberts and Rev. Tim Nichols officiating.
He is survived by his son, Johnny Weeks of Emerald Isle; brother, Julian Weeks of Ocean; brother-in-law, Redford Rhue of Cape Carteret; sister-in-law, Evelyn Weeks of Ocean and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Rhue Weeks, sister, Lula Belle Weeks, brothers, Elbert Weeks, Leon Weeks and Harold Weeks and special cousin, Lloyd Sanders.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
