John Edward Weaver

John Edward Weaver, 76, of Newport, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Weaver officiating.

John is survived by his wife, Lina Weaver; daughter, Charity Weaver Jackson and husband Charles; stepdaughter, Alicia Tunby Willis; stepson, Archie Willis, Jr.; brothers, Jesse “Jay” Weaver and wife Ann, Paul Weaver and wife Joy, Nick Weaver and wife Becky, Jerry Weaver; sisters, Martha Davis, Shirley Strickland and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Trinity Tunby, Madeline Jackson, John Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Renee Weaver; parents, Fred Weaver and Lillie Mae Jones Weaver; brothers, Fred Weaver, Jr., George Weaver, Allen Weaver, Samuel Weaver; sisters, Bertha Hall and Mary Jones.

Visitation will be held following the service.
