He is survived by his son, Jonathon Malachi Kennon of Newport; parents, Denny and Darleen Riggs of Newport; sister, Amanda Riggs of Raleigh; paternal grandfather, Glenn Riggs of Swansboro; and maternal grandfather, Roger Joseph Arsenault of Black Stock, SC.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Rosemary Springle Scott and Pauline Lagasse Arsenault.
