John R. Naples

John R. Naples, 86, of Otway, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

The family will celebrate his life privately.

John was born on September 29, 1936, in Darby, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Grace Naples. Proud of his military service, John honorably served in the United States Air Force four years.

After obtaining his bachelor's degree, he went on to work in the electronics field, working for various contractors as well as with Civil Service at Cherry Point. In his free time, there was nothing he enjoyed more than working on boats where he was always up for the challenge and rewarded with the outcome.

He is survived by his daughter, Ginny Graham of husband Michael of Raleigh; sons, John R. Naples Jr. and Robert Naples, both of Florida; and brother, Richard Naples and wife Ramona of Harkers Island.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hoxie Naples.
