John Christopher Morgan, 25, of Evanston, IL, passed away August 26, 2013.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 7th at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Dennis Evans and Rev. Jack Mumford officiating.
John was a member of Glad Tidings Church where he was involved with the Royal Rangers and Pinebox Derby. He was a 2006 graduate of West Carteret High School, served in the U.S. Air Force deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, during 2009, in support of operation Enduring Freedom. He loved country music.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia and Haywood Wilder of Morehead City; father, Philip Morgan of the home; two sisters, Kathryn Rene Morgan and Tia Elizabeth Wilder both of Morehead City; maternal grandmother, Oreta B. Watkins of Hampton, VA; ten aunts and nine uncles; his four legged friend with a fuzzy smile, Octavious "Bubba" Morgan; also over 60 first cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John W. Watkins , paternal grandparents, Kathryn E. Brown and Clayton Grier, and step-grandparents, Alena and Haywood Wilder, Sr.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Glad Tidings Church.
