Rev. John Lupton, Jr., 57, of Havelock, died Friday, September 10, 2010, at Britthaven of Havelock.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday at Nelson Bay Cemetery with Rev. Bea Dixon officiating.
Throughout his lifetime of providing ministerial care, Rev. Lupton served the following United Methodist Churches: Harlowe, Oak Grove, Aurora, Hobucken, Campbells Creek, Snow Hill, Mt. Olive, and the First United Methodist Church in Havelock.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Lupton of the home; daughter Bernice Shianna Lupton of Havelock; son John Clifton Lupton, III of Miami Beach, FL; stepchildren Gracie Robison of Cameron, NC, and Clayton Gillikin of Otway, and their families; brother Thomas Lupton of Smyrna; sister Mary Fuller of Atlantic; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Clifton Lupton, Sr. and Mary Newkark Lupton, and his brother David Neal Lupton.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
