John P. Davis, 91, of Newport, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received a Purple Heart.
He is survived by four sons, Michael Davis of Shreveport, LA, John R. Davis of Gloucester, Preston Davis of Pittsboro, and James Davis of Lansing, MI; also two grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Graham and Ann Marie Davis.
