John Conner

John Thomas Conner Jr  ,81, of Morehead City passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home with Pastor David Jones and Rev. Robert Hill officiating.

John loved his family and his Church, and he was a Lay leader at Franklin Memorial Church for many years. American Leigon Member and Masonic Lodge Member of Morehead City. Flew in the "Hurricane Hunter" squadron in 1967. John was on the USS American in the Navy. Worked as a Planner and Estimator at Cherry Point for the Harrier program. He then worked and retired as a Defense contractor.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Conner of the home; three sons, John Thomas Conner III of Stella, NC, David Allen Conner and wife Becky of Mill Creek, NC, and Timothy Ray Conner and wife Teresa Mendoza of the Promised Land; one sister, Eleanor Buckingham and husband Jim of Morehead City, NC; and seven grandchildren also four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Conner Sr. and Theora Alvis; one sister, Sue Conner Spears and husband Dick, three brothers, Pat Conner, Al Conner, and Mike Conner; two sister in laws, Nancy Conner and Marion Conner.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 Monday, September 14, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home.
