Joedy Marie Fulcher, 57, of Newport, NC, formerly of Manistee, MI, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.
The family will not be conducting a public memorial service.
Those who knew Joedy will remember her feisty personality and the youthful wonder with which she saw the world. In addition to regularly hosting game nights with her friends and family, Joedy was an active member of the Spare Parts team in the Tuesday night bowling league at Mac Daddy’s in Cape Carteret. You could see her smiling face five days a week behind the counter at Kountry Kitchen in Morehead City, where everyone who works and dines there feels at home. Joedy and her husband started as regular customers, and she was soon welcomed into the larger Kountry Kitchen family.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Ray Fulcher, Sr.; her children Nichole Lynn Perez , son in-law Doug Perez and Steven Ray Fulcher, Jr. and his partner Nicole Foyles; grandchildren Joedy Noelle Lightbody and Bennah Jillian Lightbody; four sisters and three brothers; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Katherine Sullivan of Manistee, MI.
