Joe Frank Pope, USMC GySgt (Retired) born October 4, 1935, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral service will be 1:00 Friday, January 29th at the Munden Funeral Home & Cremation Chapel, 908 Lake Road, Havelock.
A visitation will be prior to the funeral service from 11:30 till 12:30.
Burial with military honors will immediately follow the funeral service at the same location on the grounds of Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary and his daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) Miller.
Joe is survived by three daughters, Peggy Chlastawa of Havelock; Christine Lee and her husband Oliver of Richmond VA; Tracy Brousard and her husband Kerry of Raleigh; one son, William (Bill) Pope and his wife Mary Ellen of Belchertown MA; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
