Jo Ann Rivenbark
August 13, 1947 — March 4, 2013
Jo Ann Rivenbark, passed away at her home surrounded by family and loved ones Monday March 4 2013. Jo Ann fought a long hard fight against liver disease which ultimately claimed her life at the age of 65. We are blessed to know she is no longer in pain and walking hand in hand with our lord.
The funeral will be held at Parkview Baptist Church on March 7, 2013 at 11:00am. Immediately following there will be the internment at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Jo Ann enjoyed yard sales, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She attended Parkview Baptist church and was very involved in many ministries. She will be remembered by her grandchildren as the bionic water skiing grandmother who could do it all.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband Martin Rivenbark and two sons Marty and Arnold, Mother Melva Teachey, Grandchildren Trey, Joey, Samantha and husband Drew, Savannah, and Kimberly, Great Grandchildren Sarah and Beau. Brothers and Sisters, Faye and Harvey Pravette, Linda and Richard Harrell, Georgia and Jess Condon, Ken and Judith Teachey, Harry and Diane Teachey, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as special friends Dave and Michelle Kent.
The family invites friends to a visitation at Munden Funeral home in Morehead City on Wednesday March 6 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers Martin asks that donations go to the Parkview Baptist Church Food Pantry at 4738 Arendell St. Morehead City, NC 28557.
