Jessie (Willis) Garner

Jessie Willis Garner, 89, of Newport, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Harborview Health Care Center.
A graveside service will be held 3:30 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Newport with Derryl Garner officiating.
She owned and operated Ms. Jessie's Sewing Center for 30 years in Morehead City, as well as the Beachcomber shop also located in Morehead City. She loved to garden, cook, and doing things for family and friends in her spare time.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette "Jeanne" Boyer and husband Ken of Newport, and Sue Hall of Morehead City; brother, Ernest Willis of Newport; two sisters, Viola Williams of New Bern, and Dolly Riggs of Morehead City; grandchildren, Kimberly Fasulo, Melissa Adams and husband, Mark, Hillary Carrier and husband, Joseph, Drew Lankford and husband, Ryan and Matt Hall; and great-grandchildren, Madison Adams, Christopher Adams, Jessica Fasulo, John Ross Fasulo, Noah Cauley, Lillian Lankford, Joseph "Jack" Kelso Carrier, IV, and Andrew Carrier,
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 30 years, Johnnie Pershing Garner; and her parents, Ross and Goldie Mae Willis.
The family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
