On September 8th, 2014 at 1:48 p.m., a beautiful soul, Jessica Michele Massey, of Springtown, Texas and formerly of Cedar Island departed this earth and went to meet her heavenly reward.
Service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Island Methodist Church followed by
burial at Cedar Island Community Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Island Methodist. Memorials: Make a Wish Foundation.
Jessica Michele Massey of Springtown, was born February 26, 1971 in
Sea Level, N.C. Jessica lived a life that was not free from affliction and struggles, but she lived a life of love. Jessica loved with a pure heart, never
seeing color, class, social status, or past mistakes made in a person’s life. Jessica loved like Jesus loved. Jessica saw glimpses of Heaven during her last days and spoke of seeing her grandmother, two aunts, and a loving nurse, who had all gone before her. She spoke of meeting Jesus, who she said, had told her that He was waiting for her. She also spoke of getting new dancing shoes in Heaven. She passed from this life just as she lived her life, with a smile on her face, surrounded by people who love her.
Jessica’s family would like to express thanks to the Neuro ICU staff,
the Respiratory staff, and the Palliative Care team at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX, for all the love and support you have given Jessica and her family. The family wishes for everyone to remember Jessica for her beautiful smile, the love that she brought to your life, and for you to think of her in her glorified Heavenly body, free from pain, walking, talking, and yes even dancing with Jesus! “We will see you again, our beautiful girl. Until then, you will live on in our hearts and minds forever.”
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, James Massey, Molly
Massey, William Brittingham and Arlene Brittingham.
Survivors: She is survived by her parents, Jesse and Billie Massey;
sisters, Donna Massey Aliyetti and husband John, Sue Massey Scott,

and a multitude of family and friends who were inspired by her life.
