Jesse Small, Sr.

Jesse Small, Sr. , 84, of Mill Creek, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Bill Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Church Cemetery.
Mr. Small was the past Fire Chief of Mill Creek Fire Department, and he loved to volunteer with the Mill Creek Oyster Festival.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emma Small of the home; four daughters, Teresa Hamilton and husband John of Newport, Carolyn Jones and husband Mike, Sr. of Morehead City, Marilyn Judkins and husband Joe of Newport, and Vicky McCue and husband Keith of Knightdale; two sisters, Edna Haskett of Morehead City and Pearl Fodrie of Fayetteville; also seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse "Andy" Small, Jr., his parents, James and Gladys Small, two brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the church.
