Jesse Lavern Salter, Sr., 73, of Broad Creek, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:30 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Salter Residence, 252 Broad Creek Loop Rd in Newport. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
He is survived by two daughters, Ceada Lynn Flower and Lula Elizabeth Futrell; son, Jesse Lavern Salter, Jr.; brother, Johnny T. Salter, Sr.; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Loftin Salter, Sr. and Ollie Mae Stephens Salter; daughter, Debra Ann Yeagar; son, Jason Owen Salter; and six brothers.
