Jefferson Faircloth, Sr.

February 20, 1931 — July 23, 2010


Jefferson Wade Faircloth, Sr, 79, of Morehead City, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at home. His son, Jefferson Wade Faircloth, Jr., also died July 23, 2010, at home.

Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Morehead City with Dr. Billy Seate and Rev. John Grayson officiating.

Mr. Faircloth was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge 405 in Morehead City.

He is survived by his wife, Daphne L. Faircloth of the home; daughter, Catherine Faircloth Hairr and husband Ron of Raleigh; son, Douglas Wayne Faircloth and wife Kim of Morehead City; grandchildren, Ashley Turner and Shane, Andy Ipock and Aubrey, Adrianna Brookins and Ryan Justice, Jeremy Stokes and Jennifer Owens, and Tyler Collins; great-grandchildren Tana Ipock, Brandon Turner, Adrianna Turner, Gracie Ipock, Drew Ipock, Jaxon Brookins, Devyn Justice, Jordan Stokes, and Haleigh Stokes; sister-in-law Eunice Colclough and Juanita Boyette, brother-in-laws Rudolph Lewis and wife Sue, and Maurice Lavine Butler of MA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mabel Hurst, and father Jeff Faircloth; daughter, Wanda Stokes; and sisters Patricia Butler and Mabel Potter.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
