Jeanette W. Wichtl

Jeanette W. Wichtl, 85, of Newport passed away, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 surrounded by her family at Carteret Health Care.
A graveside Rite of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 4, 2015 at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Father Greg Spencer presiding.
Jeanette was a Girl Scout Leader for over 30 years, for both her daughters, and then granddaughters. She was very crafty and good with her hands, and enjoyed cooking for others.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Russell and husband Sam, and Lori Clark and husband John; two sons, Victor Wichtl and wife Alice, and Robert Wichtl and wife Kim all of Newport; sister, Mary Ann Butler of Virginia Beach, VA; also nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Joseph Wichtl; parents, Albert and Lillian Shepard; also three sisters, and two brothers.
The family will receive friends at Munden Funeral Home 11:30 am- 12:30 pm prior to the graveside service.
