Jean (Springle) Williams

Jean Springle Williams, 88, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Ann Street United Methodist Church with Reverend David Wade and Reverend Taylor Mills officiating. Interment will follow the service at Carteret Memorial Gardens.

Jean was a life time member of Ann Street United Methodist Church. She was employed with Duke Marine Lab as a librarian for 26 years. She was a volunteer for numerous organizations and was always helping in the community.

She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Andrews and husband Numa of Morehead and Bonnie Ellis of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Heather Murphy, William Ellis, and Leslie Ellis; great-grandchild, Taylor Murphy; sister, Pat Russell of Beaufort; brother, L.D. Springle of Beaufort; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Williams; parents, Leslie and Blanche Springle; brother, Bryan Springle; and sisters, Mildred Seawell and Lucille Pake.

The family will receive friends between 6:00pm-8:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
