Jay Michael Payne, 63, of Stella, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.

Jay proudly served our country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Petrone and husband, Mike, of Salem, Oregon; son, Landon J. Payne and wife, Angie, of Eugene, Oregon; parents, J. Norman Payne and Margaret B. Payne of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Marsha Teasly of Hot Springs, California; and 5 grandchildren, Gage, Jalen, Temple, Aaron and Tyler.
